June 2009 - Moon out in the daytime this month!

The moon rises in the early hours this month and sets just after midday. Try viewing the moon in the daytime and see how it compares to your regular nighttime viewing.

Look out for Jupiter in June!

Mid June 2009 - Jupiter appeared in the early hours!

For those of you like me who finds it really difficult to get up early in the morning, you are now going to get the opportunity to see Jupiter in the early hours of the morning. On the 20th June, Jupiter peaks above the south east horizon at 12.20am. By 2am it will be high above the horizon glowing at magnitude -2.6, clear are bright enough for all to see.
